Hands-on Time: 5 min. Total Time: 13 min.

SHORT VERSION:

INTRO:

Canned tuna is one of the few canned food that I store in my pantry. It can pair with lots of different dishes, pasta, rice, congee, bread, for delicious meals. But I find canned tuna a bit dry and bland by itself. Here I’m showing a canned tuna recipe that, in just couple simple steps, turns dried, bland tuna into tasty sandwich or salads. It’s definitely not a “Chinese recipes”, but I couldn’t find this version of tuna sandwich in the US. It seems to be one of the “Asian-American” dishes that was modified or twisted when canned tuna got introduced to Asia. It is absolutely delicious and extremely simple to make. The only slightly tricky part is to boil, peel, and chop eggs, which you can find useful tips in this post. So, give it a try! It’s great for breakfast, lunch, or any time of the day!
